Firestick, Android Box or Smart TV: Which One Is Best for IPTV?

Most of the questions we get about IPTV start the same way: "Will it work on my TV?" The short answer is that IPTV does not care much about the brand of the device. It cares whether the device can run a player app that supports M3U or Xtream Codes. If it can, you are fine. The rest is about comfort, speed and how much you want to fiddle.
Firestick
Small, cheap and easy to carry, which is why so many people use one. The remote is simple and the menus are quick. The downside is limited memory, so on a very busy channel list an older stick can feel slow. If you already own one, try it first before buying anything else.
Android box or Android TV
This is the most flexible option. You can install almost any IPTV player, the hardware is usually stronger than a stick, and you can plug in a wired network cable. If you watch a lot and want the smoothest experience, an Android box is hard to beat.
Smart TV
Convenient because there is nothing extra to plug in. The catch is that the app choice depends on the TV maker, and older sets can be slow or stop getting app updates. Check that a player supporting M3U or Xtream Codes is available for your model before you order.
Phone, tablet and computer
iPhone, iPad, Android phones, Windows and Mac all work with a compatible app. They are perfect for a quick test or for watching away from home, though most people prefer the big screen for everyday use.
Your internet matters more than the device
A fast device will not fix a weak connection. As a rough guide we suggest at least 15 Mbps for HD and about 25 Mbps for 4K. Wi-Fi drops through walls, so a network cable helps a lot if your TV or box is far from the router.
